Fort Smith does not have an abundance of breakfast place options, but that's okay because we have The Egg and I. We still have not fully explored the menu yet, but we have been several times and have enjoyed every dish that we've had. The menu is stacked with a lot of options and you can't go wrong with an omelette or eggs benedict-type dish here. The side of potatoes (not hashbrowns - diced potatoes) are seasoned well. There are an appreciable of bread options for toast and the bread always seems to be quite fresh. The coffee is also quite good. The service is always on point and friendly. I think that meals are reasonably priced. The restaurant is also always clean, including the bathrooms. One note of concern is that you may experience a wait during peak hours, so I would suggest going a little before or after.

The atmosphere is very "homey". The waitresses are nice and welcoming and the food is always tasty! Especially the eggs and bacon! I usually order their waffles which aren't the very best but are pretty good. I wish their menu had more options or specials but overall it's a great place for breakfast. I definitely prefer this over IHOP.

Love this place. Fresh food so your food takes 5 minutes instead of 3 to get to your table. Plenty of seating .. Fresh potatoes and a sling for your car seat! Family friendly!

For breakfast or brunch in Ft. Smith, this has to be the place. They said this is a small regional chain but these people know how to run a great breakfast restaurant. The service was very efficient, helpful and friendly. The food was the bomb! The CRAB CAKE BENEDICT was incredible! I kept saying "oh my" after every bite. The wife had SANTA FE HUEVOS and loved it. Both of us had Ranch Potatoes as a side and both thought they were really good. This is a great place to eat, especially if you want something a little different for breakfast. You won't be disappointed.

Very good food and service! Breakfasts are all good, but they also have a number of salads and sandwiches if you want lunch.

This is a good place for breakfast, very clean, good food and excellent variety of dishes. The service has been great. Coffee is good, hot and always ready. We've used this place for informal work meetings over breakfast. All the dishes I've tried have been great. It's a little pricey, in my opinion, but still good!

We love coming here when we are in Ft Smith! Food is consistently yummy, served with a smile. Manager on site resolves any problem instantly- I asked for no sausage and they forgot. My second plate was delivered in minutes. You won't go wrong here!

Stopped by on the way home from Arkansas. Its food was ok, i got an omelet with chicken and avocado and it was decent. The service wasn't horribly slow but it was noticeable. The people were friendly and that was one of the bright spots for this restaurant. And thats why i gave it 3 stars

The food overall was good and well presented, the Service was ok. the reason for 4 stars is that the sausage was missing from a sausage scramble. we told her about the sausage, she apologized and Manager did come and apologize as well, so that was good. Food as very good

The food is good. The waitstaff are a bit "in your face", during my visit. I was interrupted a million times by staff asking if "everything ok?".. I could not talk to my woman. After my food arrived, I took a bite of it. During my chewing a waitress not my own asked if I liked it.. "good" I said dropping bits of food out of my mouth. Then before my second bite my waitress asked the same. Then she asked my woman. I felt rushed. LIke they wanted to "Turn the table over".. not actually worried if you like the food.. worried if you are ever going to leave.

Egg and I never fails to deliver a wonderful breakfast and their lunches are some of my favorite. Just wish more Fort Smith people would find them. They are in a somewhat isolated location so they have failed to achieve the stand in line, feeding frenzy I have seen at other locations in other cities. The food is the same high quality. I had a perfectly prepared turkey sausage, scrambled egg, grits combination with raisin bread toast. It was delicious. I recommend the chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit for a perfect lunch. Service very attentive and friendly.

So delicious! We had driven by several times on our way to Northwest Arkansas and always thought it was a cute name. We decided to stop this morning and I am so glad we did! I had the New Orleans Eggs Benedict and it was amazing. My husband had the breakfast burrito and he enjoyed it very much. The portions are quite large and the food is displayed well. Lots of really great sounding things on the menu, not just your typical breakfast fare, I had trouble deciding what I wanted! The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Looking forward to stopping by again.

Went to this restaurant in the first week it was opened. The service was prompt, interior decor was like any other breakfast place a bit crowded though. Food portions were big, food tastes good although the sausage patty was a bit chewy. I liked their egg benedict. My wife ordered a French toast. She liked it. Since then I have been couple of times and liked the quality of food. Hope to go some time back on a Sunday brunch.

I found a really neat Restraunt called The Egg & I. After 32 years of traveling for international companies it takes lot to impress me. I had breakfast & lunch at the Egg and I in Ft. Smith' AR. & I was blown away. I found items on the menu that I have never seen before. The decor was pleasant and the service outstanding. I would love to have one in Sulphur Springs, Texas.. I'd give them 6 stars.

This is my favorite breakfast place in town. If you like Eggs Benedict, this is the place for you. They have six or so different styles, and all I've tried were fantastic. My favorite is the Parisian Benedict. My wife normally has the blueberry pancakes, and they are good as well. The service is very good. Waiters/waitresses are always in good spirits. We look forward to coming back.

Stopped here on our way back to Missouri from The Crater of Diamonds. Was really looking for some good biscuits and gravy, and would have thought I could get it in Arkansas. Service was good, but the waitress told us everything is made from scratch. My mother and I both ordered the biscuits and gravy, it came with two eggs, a biscuit covered in gravy, and ranch potatoes. The eggs were good. The ranch potatoes were alright if you really potatoes that were deep fried and then allowed to get cold, tough, and wrinkled up, then they are for you. Now onto the main dish here. Biscuits and Gravy, the biscuits were alright, but the gravy was nasty, it was dark, processed, and greasy. I can eat almost anything and this I could not do. Hotels have better gravy on their buffets than this. So if your looking for Biscuits and gravy go else were or make it at home.
